See all the major sights Prague has to offer, getting lost in the medieval kingdom of Bohemia, the Jewish Prague of Franz Kafka and the modern Prague of today. What's more, the tour includes a boat trip with complimentary refreshments and lunch in a medieval restaurant!

Itinerary

The tour meets in the Old Town Square, on the corner with Pařížská Street, before beginning the tour taking in one of the most important and emblematic sights in Prague: the Prague castle complex, the largest ancient castle complex in the world.

Here you can see the castle itself, dating from the 9th century and a seat of power for kings of Bohemia, Holy Roman emperors, and presidents of Czechoslovakia, as well as St. Vitus' Cathedral, the castle gardens, and one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in the city.

From here the tour moves on to the Lesser Town, where two of the most famous monuments in the city: the Infant Jesus of Prague, a statue which legend has it once belonged to Saint Teresa of Avila and Charles Bridge, itself over 500 years old and lined with 30 baroque statues.

Next stop is the Old Town, where among the sights is one of the emblems of the city: the Astronomical Clock a marvel of medieval ingenuity, with dials showing not only the time, but the position of the moon and sun and an hourly show of figures of the Apostles - and the macabre figure of Death striking the time...

Finally, the tour takes in the Jewish Quarter - Josefov, where you will learn of the often sad story of Prague's Jewish community, perhaps embodied by the life and work of the area's most famous resident: Franz Kafka. You'll see his house, as well as the Old Jewish Cemetary, founded in the 15th century, and synagogues such as the spectacular Spanish Synagogue.

Lunch and Boat Trip

This tour includes a 40-minute cruise along the Vltava river, allowing you to admire this beautiful city from a different perspective, and lunch in a medieval restaurant: here you can try traditional Czech cuisine (a vegetarian option is included) along with one soft drink or beer.
