Prague Jewish Quarter Walking Tour

On the morning of the tour, we'll meet up at the Jewish Quarter Information & Reservations Center and set off on our tour of the picturesque Jewish old town of Prague. We'll start strolling through the winding cobblestone streets of this historic district and learning about its unparalleled history.

We'll begin by exploring the numerous synagogues of the city - the majority of which belong to the Jewish Museum, the most visited museum in the Czech Republic.

At the Maisel Synagogue, we'll see thousands of precious items of Jewish origin, as well as Langweil’s Model of Prague, an uncommon exhibit that will take you back in time and right into the streets of the Jewish Quarter before its complete reconstruction. Then, we'll get to see the striking Spanish Synagogue and the deeply moving Pinkas Synagogue.

Afterwards, it'll be time to head over to the Jewish Cemetery of Prague, the oldest and best-preserved in the world. After strolling around its grounds, we'll head over to a local café for some refreshments.

And finally, we'll visit the Old-New Synagogue an ancient and well-preserved construction shrouded in mystery. Did you know that Golem, the legendary being in Jewish folklore, was allegedly put to rest right in its attic?

Our historic walking tour will come to an end at this last synagogue after about 2.5-3 hours of exploring and sightseeing.
