Discover why the Czechs are some of the world's greatest beer drinkers and the part the amber nectar plays in Czech culture, all the while sampling different types of local beer.
Beer Culture Tour
If there's one place in the world where beer runs through their veins (quite literally) it's Prague! Known around the world as the home of Pilsner, it's a tipple that has been brewed in the city for well over a thousand years.
Along the route we will visit three of Prague's most emblematic pubs, discovering the passion the Czech people have for their beer or "pivo", which has since 2008 been a protected regional product under EU law, in the same way as Champagne from the French region, or Port wine from Oporto.
Discover the story of Prague's oldest beer hall, and the favorite haunts of legendary figures such as Mozart and Cassanova, as your expert guide tells you all about the manufacturing process.
All this is likely to work up a thirst, so you'll also get to try three delicious local beers (with or without alcohol). There's no substitute for first-hand experience! And the cherry on the cake is the final stop, in a Czech restaurant where you can try some of the non-liquid local delicacies!
