Discover why the Czechs are some of the world's greatest beer drinkers and the part the amber nectar plays in Czech culture, all the while sampling different types of local beer.
On this tour we meet at 6:20 pm in front of the Rudonfinum concert hall in Jan Palach Square, to begin our tour of the home of beer.
Along the route we will visit three of Prague's most emblematic pubs, discovering the passion the Czech people have for their beer or "pivo", which has since 2008 been a protected regional product under EU law, in the same way as Champagne from the French region, or Port wine from Oporto.
Trying three different types we will learn to distinguish between the varieties of beer produced in the region: not all are made in the same way! But more than that, the tour will dig into the social role of beer in the Czech Republic, how pubs and politics have gone hand in hand throughout the country's history, and even the traditional drinking customs which will help you to keep up with the locals. You will even learn how to pour the perfect beer!
With Czechs drinking more beer per person than any other country in the world, this is the perfect opportunity to learn about beer from those who do it best!
The Czech beer tasting menu is only for over 18s.
